There is no point in raking leaves. They become fertilizer for the spring. It's not nice to mess with Mother Nature.

Yes I do rake. I don't like to though. If I don't rake, people come knock my door and ask if they can do it for money and it's annoying because my dogs bark like crazy every time they come (and I have a baby). I guess I should get "no soliticing" sign.

I rake leaves every once in while.  We don't have too many trees in our back yard and only a couple in the front yard.

My husband just mows them over to mulch them.  We live out in the country with lots of trees around us so raking would be an on-going event until all of the leaves fell off the trees!
Have a wonderful day!

They do make excellent mulch. I have a mulching lawn mower, so we cut the 'grass' to clean up the leaves. It looks better than leaving whole leaves on the lawn, and they degrade into the soil quicker.

The little boy that lives upstairs from me decided to rake the leaves this year...he wanted a BIG pile to jump in.  His mother told me that he got into alot of trouble later with his dad.  The little boy couldn't rake up enough leaves in our yard for a big enough pile so he raked the leaves from the neighbor's yard into ours.  ;D

Not unless the cover is too thick because they provide a good insulation for the lawn during the winter months and usually blow away in the spring months.

I dont rake my leaves, but my husband does. He puts them in our garden for the nutrients.

I have a leaf vac that picks up the leaves, mulches them, and then I put them in the garden. If I leave them on the grass and they decompose it kills the lawn. They do work wonders in the flowers beds tho. Stops the roots from freezing and once mulched will provide nitrients in the spring. But leaving them on the lawn is a big no-no.

Nope no raking here....
We do sweep the leaves our of our driveway and off our utility trailer though.

Our lawnmower has a mulcher on it.. so if any leaves blow into our yard.. we mulch them.. some spray into the ground.. the others get sucked up into the bag on the back.
