Steve Jobs
« on: October 15, 2011, 05:44:33 am »
I am starting this topic because we all lost a great genius when we lost Steve Jobs. He was an innovator, a genius, a great man. Steve Jobs changed how we interact with technology and brought technology that is to only personal but interactive. He will be missed. This is coming from a big Apple fan.

What a life he had!!!  What a legacy.  He left the world a better place than when he came into it.  I am 66 years old.  I got my first computer at age 62.  I went with a macbook because of the one to one training at The Apple Store.  My life has changed 100% for the better because of my computer.  Thank you Steve Jobs.

The only thing I don't understand is that with the billions of dollars Apple has made there is no public record of any philanthropic giving from Steve Jobs.  ???

I'm not an Apple fan, but I am a Steve Jobs fan.  His innovations are on par with the likes of Gates and Zuckerberg.  And he is virtually unsurpassed as a businessman.  As far as his charitable contributions go, he did come under a lot of scrutiny; however, the fact he was not philanthropic is debatable.  Here's a little more on that subject: http://www.washingtonpost.com/business/economy/record-thin-on-steve-jobss-philanthropy/2011/10/06/gIQA3YKKRL_story.html
