I am not married yet, but my boyfriend and I want to get married, I am 18 years old and he is 21 almost 22 this November.  My family thinks it will be a mistake because he can't hold a job, and they are worried that i will be supporting him through out our marriage but he treats me good and he loves me so does all that other stuff matter.

i am 22 and just recently got married...its great and we are enjoying every second of it but there are more responsibilities with it...we both still lived at home and now we just got our new apt last weekend, so now adulthood and real responsibilties set in. every factor you didnt have to deal with before is no longer an option. you now have your things to take care of as well as your spouse! it can be stressful, but then again its life and you do what makes you happy! you only live once and for some you only love once and if who you are with is who you believe you will spend the rest of your life with, then do what makes you both happy not what will please others!

I was 19 years old, my wife was also 19. We had know each other since Grammer school. Alot of rough times since I was in the Military for 22 years, alot of seperation. I think it made us both stronger. We have now been married 39 years.

That's awesome I wish more people could set a good example like that. But I'm not married but I am not worried about it. Living for my singleness.  8)

I'm still single myself. I'm 24 but I haven't really gotten out in the world yet so I think I need to do some things, do some more growing up, before I even think about marriage.

The first time I got married I was 18.  It lasted for about six years.  The second time I was married I was 32 and neither of my marriages worked out they both cheated on me and I didn't deserve it, I only had children with my first husband.  I was pregnant twic with twins with my second one but I lost them.  The fist set of twins I lost them fairly early but my second set I lost them three days before my scheduled C-section that was the hardest for me and still is.

29 and my wife was 25.  Next February it wil be 5 happy years together. :)  Enjoy your younger days and sow your wild oats, but I would never want to go back to my days as a single man with women who I hardly cared about and/or vice versa.

Mawwige.
Mawwige is what bwings us togeva today...

I would have been 26, same as my fiancee.
I think its more of a ceriomonal purpose than anything else.
If two people have a comittment towards one another but dont think that its necessary to show it off to everyone, more power to them....at least more money.

i got married when I was 27- - it was a great day - I had been married when I was 25 and the marriage lasted 5 months.

Marriage is not about how old you are -- it's how RIGHT it is and how ready you both are to make the HUGE committment to each other

how old were you when you got married?

I was 19; my husband was 21.

We dated all through High School.

We just celebrated our 35th Anniversary this summer.  Still crazy about that man!

I was 23, which I think is a really good age.  I had lived on my own for a while and had matured a little.  Also I was young enough to not feel like I had to have children right away.  It worked out well for me.
