How long does your dry cleaning take?

We recently moved to a rural area, and one thing I'm having a hard time with is finding a good dry cleaners.

When we were in the city, there were tons of dry cleaners around. Because there was so much competition, most of them were very good and their prices were very competitive. They knew that if they provided bad service, people wouldn't go back, plus they'd get bad reviews of them on places like Yelp and InsiderPages, so they had the motivation to try and outperform their competitors.

Here - OMG it's horrible. The closest dry cleaners are all an hour away, and they are all the same chain of the same horrible company. When I looked at the reviews online, there's bad review after bad review, but because this place has no competition, they're the only game in town. I dropped off my husband's suit a week ago, and was really shocked when they said it wouldn't be back for five days

Five days to clean one suit? Really? Then, when I went back there to pick it up - it wasn't ready. I was really upset that I had taken two hours to drive there and back, plus the wasted gas, and the rude person behind the counter could have cared less. She said I should have called to make sure it was there. In my entire life I don't think I've ever called a dry cleaners to make sure something was ready when they said it would be.
