To deal with stress I spend time in prayer and meditate on the word of God. It's a refreshing experience to hear the Holy Spirit speak peace into your heart and soul.

Conversely, engaging in such would initiate some minor "stress" for me; which is why I avoid it for health reasons, (after all, look at what's it's done to you, not for you  *shudder*).

One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.

My methods of dealing with stress are pretty mundane, I guess.  I knit or do cross-stitch.  If i'm restless enough I jam the mp3 earbuds in and go for a good brisk walk.  Reading works too, as well as journaling.

Depends on how bad it is.  Sometimes writing what is bothering you on a piece of paper and tearing it into little pieces can help.  Sounds simple, but it can help.

Well, I have found sex to be the best reliever of them all. Easy to get lost in that one.

And even better with a partner?

Do anything to unwind your trouble mind. I personally go for a walk or YouTube to listen to some music or watch a movie.

I try to take a few minutes to myself and take some deep breaths and stretch. Sometimes it works and sometimes you just have to let it out and cry or sing along to your favorite song or whatever makes you happy even for a few minutes. It's so unhealthy that so many of us are stressed out and depressed. We all need to slow down and breathe once in a while...

the way I deal with stress is going to the gym and working out out for a couple of hours. I feel relaxed after a vigorous workout.

I agree with some of the previous comments, I do enjoy working out.  Whether swimming or lifting weights.  However, sometimes if the stress is continuing for several days (which tends to be the pattern in my life), my muscles get very tight and I can get hurt easily.  I do believe in the healing power of a bubble bath and a departure from reality with a good book.  A nice smelling candle never hurts  ;)
I also find that sometimes you just have to step away, maybe that's to a nice dinner (that you didn't cook) or even a full day without communication.  Big believer in turning that cell phone off and not going online....just to chill and defragment LOL

Do something, anything strenuous. Walk, run, etc.

I have several ways to reduce stress. I clean house,  bake,  listen to music  or Iron.  I find ironing very relaxing
plus it makes me proud to see my clothes or husbands clothes pressed nice and neat.

I like your method of relieving stress because it reminds me of the movie "the karate kid". I try not to get stressed out to begin with but when I am I always like to be a lone and do something that takes my mind off of what is stressing me. This thing is called martial arts tricking. :)

I get stressed out very easily.  I have found a new and weird hobby for taking stress away.  Please don't laugh.  lol.....I edge my grass with a pair of sizzors. Oddly enough, my grass turned out really good and it didn't take me that long.  I also trimmed my bushes with the same pair of sizzors.    ;D
Nothing wrong with that!!! I do the same thing when our neighbor forgets to cut the yard!!! For me, gardening, music, woodwork, and otherwise out of sight-out of mind!!!

Usually, I just try to get somewhere quiet.  I take deep breaths and pray.  Then, I listen to some relaxing music like Chill Out/House.  Drinking Kava tea and playing video games afterwards is awesome.
