I've always wanted to do mystery shopping because I didn't know what it actually encompassed.  Hopefully I come across a good opportunity in the near future.

we did a mystery shop for papa johns and it was on the 25th of aug and were supposed to be paid on the 25th of oct and we still havent got the check yet. my fiance is getting pissed and im sure he's gonna complain. i hope that money is on it's way coz we really need it.

It sounds like a neat opportunity.  We recently volunteered at an arena in our area and were told by management that mystery shoppers would be buying concessions, so make sure we were courteous.

sounds cool,  BUT, how much does it cost and then after you do it how long does it take to be reimbursed?

I have done some in the past.  Mainly fast food places and cell phone carriers.  To me it was way to much paperwork for the amount of compensation you get.   Not counting the gas to drive all over!

I've never been a mystery shopper but I've worked in the grocery industery for 4 yrs and it's always funny to watch people try to figure out if someone is a mystery shopper

we are with about 3 mystery shop companies but we haven't really done any assignments this year.

I get offers in my email to mystery shop, but I have never pursued it yet.  I still think it sounds interesting.

I would love to mystery shop if I could find a reputable company. I've heard some bad stories about it that give me some pause, but I'm glad it worked out for you.

I signed for for one or to in the past but nothing really came of it. Perhaps I should give it a go again. It's always nice to make a few extra bucks. Thanks for the post!

Thanks for this thread.  I went to Google (sorry FC can't use toolbars with my system) and found one that sounds pretty good.  I signed up and will see how it works out.  A few free meals would be pretty neat since we eat out a couple of times a week anyway.
