What Do You THink What the Government is Doing?

Yes they are struggling again to pay the military members.  They passed a measure to keep it funded until 18 Nov and then what..  So close to Christmas.  I wish the Democrats and Republicians could get a long.  Please write to your congressman and tell them to end this nightmare.

I don't think that the government really cares about its people. I once heard one of my friends suggest that politicians should get paid on public satisfaction rates. I know it will never pass but there should so be a bill because at least that would let them know that the people mean business.

I do not know of any trustworthy politicians.  I think their only motivation is to line their pockets. They do just the minimum to keep the masses "happy", in control.  Then complain that they don't get paid enough.

The government (or the ruling elite?) is mainly obsess with holding POWER and to CONTROL the world. I don’t know what else is more important for them than power and control.

I think they are all morons and very greedy.  They aren't thinking about the people and what they've worked all their lives to accomplish and paid for.  Maybe if they got their egos out of their A&&es things would work better.

This is exactly the reason we need a smaller government.  I don't know of anyone in any time that has fully trusted the government, unless they were making a profit from it or directly a part of its central power.  Yet, we have people in the US now who want to increase the size of the government and turn over more aspects of their lives to it.  I just cannot understand such people...do they tell themselves "well this time it will be different"?

By "the government," do you mean Pres. Obama, who has at least saved us from breadlines so far, or the damn fools in Congress who try to derail every effort he made over the last 2 years to reverse the damage caused by Big Baby Bush and his pals??

Yes, you put it very well. It doesn't matter if they are Democrats or Republicans. The Republicans say they want smaller government, but they really mean they just want to keep more of the money for themselves without paying any out to the military, etc. The Democrats want a larger government because they want more control over people's lives, and they "redistribute the wealth" by stealing taxes from hardworking people to give it to the ones who don't work, so that they can buy votes and keep getting re-elected.

We are in more trouble than we think. I never remember in my 61 years with the Government having any trouble paying our Military or SSI. Things are changing and not for the better. We have seen nothing yet. Don't want to be a doomsday prophet, but we are going to have a recession that will make this last one look like child's play. Unemployment is going into the double digits and there is going to be a wider gap between the rich and poor. With the Middle Class disappearing altogether.

The same medication that cost me $66 a year ago, is now costing $95. Food is going up by leaps and bounds, fuel is down now, but won't stay that way. Goods and services are going to be out of sight soon. People more and more are living in tent cities because there is no work, and won't be. Goods and services are going to increase beyond the reach of the average citizen. Just like the great depression.

That's the crux of the biscuit right there.  This isn't about Democrat vs. Republican, it's about the rich vs. the rest of us.
