It's Hot Cocoa Time!

These cool mornings are perfect for a big mug of hot cocoa.  My favorite is to use a small hershey bar crumbled up in the bottom of my mug with four heaping teaspoons of Swiss Miss Cocoa Mix filled with bubbling hot water and then topped off with Extra Creamy Whipped Topping.  Yum, Yum!  When the mood hits, I'll add marshmallow cream instead of whipped topping for an extra sugar rush.

I use the swiss miss packets, one spoonful of sugar, and whipped cream (or marshmallows if I have no whipped cream).

Godiva has some excellent hot chocolate, but I'd rather buy a cup they make than buy a package of the powder; they use steamed milk instead of water.  Sometimes I boil some milk for the hot chocolate, but most of the time I want hot chocolate now when I'm cold, not in a couple of minutes.

It's still too warm here for hot chocolate but the cold will be here soon enough

About the only things I like about winter is hot coco and a fireplace. I love hot cocoa!!!!

i usually do two of the giant marshmallows on top.

My son and I love to get up in the morning and relax with a nice cup of Hot Cocoa....I usually just put choc milk in a cup and heat in the microwave and add marshmellows or whip cream

Of course, I mainly drink coffee, but making a big cup and stuffing too many giant-sized marshmallows on top is always special.

Wow!  It's amazing how reading these posts is making me crave hot chocolate!  There are so many great ways to get hot chocolate these days, all kinds of packets and syrups and instant fixin's, but if you have the extra time, the homemade kind has such an excellent flavor.  I use the recipe on the side of the baking cocoa box. Yum!
