LEFT BEHIND FROM BRACES

I have this stuff on my front tooth that was left behind from my braces - i never really thought anyone but me noticed but the other day someone i work with pointed it out.  I'm wondering if i use a whitening pen just on that spot since it's slightly more yellow than the rest of my tooth if that would be a good idea...
