Wedding Anniversary help?
« on: September 23, 2011, 12:23:24 am »
My sister and her husband are celebrating their 10th year of marriage and I don't know what to get them.  Does anyone have any suggestions.  I know they love each other very much and he spoils my sister rotten.  I have been married twice and I never had that type of relationship.  They love each other so much they would do anything for each other.  They always end up with the bad luck like my sisters illness and her husband has a brain injury but they keep going no matter what is thrown at them and I know they struggle with bills because he gets SSI and its not even the whole amount becasue he has to pay back two months of pay when my sister was in college and she got a grant from the government to help with school and they used it against him and the only income she has is back child support of $50 so they live off of $691 a month which isnt much and I want to do something special for them so any help you can give me I will take into consideration.

I don't know if you have much money either, so the gift certificate idea is great, but if you are struggling, too, maybe an offer to baby-sit? Or a romantic dinner cooked, served and cleaned up after by you. It's always the most personal gifts people remember.

I think gift certificate for dinner is great idea and you can get one for cheap from restaurant.com and they always have promotions
or I think what is better if you know what your sister want to buy or really need to buy and you can buy it for her it would be great

I agree with the restaurant gift certificate idea. Restaurant.com is a really awesome place to get them. Sometimes you can get $50 gift certificates for $2, just search online for a coupon code to use.

A gift certificate to a restaurant in nice.  But if you check around you can find gift certificates for day spas, Bed and Breakfasts, romance specials at motels, tickets to a concert or play they like.

If you are not having it hard  sugest paying one of the bills for them.  My husband and I are celebrating thirty-five years this Sunday the 25th and things are hard, but you know we are going to celebrate anyway, we are going out to dinner and take a trip to the mountains and we both work so we took some time off just to be together.  We love each other just like it wa our first date.  Good luck to you and your sister.
