what doyou say when someone thinks they know everything

i have a friend like this she will ask for my help and i give it to her and then she turns around and does exactally the oppiste i really give up and i mention it to her and she told me its because she is always right which she isn't and then when it back fires on her she tells me oh i should of listen to you i give up

You cannot say anything because he or she THINK they know everything.  I too have a friend like that.

Just don't even offer her any more advice. If she really thinks she knows everything and thinks she is always right, she's going to have a very hard time in life. If she asks, just say you'd really rather not get involved in her affairs.

Wow, I have a friend who does exactly the same thing. He'll ask my advice and then do exactly the opposite or he'll ask some one else and take their advice. What do you say about that. You think he's being disrespectful?

i have a lot of family members that think they know whats best for me and my family or try to tel me how to raise my child. I hate that so much and once I tried to say something but most people that are like that will just get offended and start arguing so I just try my best to ignore it now.  I've never had a friend that thinks they know everything though... most of my friends are pretty laid back and nice.

I agree with everyone else here, you just say nothing. Just don't offer her any more advice then, if she is a know-it-all. Thats all you have to do because they will not listen to you anyway.

I say good Luck, if he/she think that they are always right then good luck because they will need it as there is no one is always right
but as a friend you have to bear with them because he/she is your friend
it doesn't matter if she did what you say or did the opposite what really matters is that you gave your honest advise meaning if you face the same situation this would be the way you'll act

Doesn't really matter what you say though because to people like this, no one knows what they are talking about. It does get frustrating though, when asked for advice/opinion, only to be shot down or ignored because what you have to say isn't what they wanted you to say.
