Since living here in Phoenix, I leave all the blinds and drapes closed to keep the sun from heating up the room. Sometimes I use the lights during the day, but usually not because I work nights and am sleeping most of the day.

I make it a habit to keep lights off during the day unless there is an absolutely neccessity to have them on.

No I dont turn lights on during the day. I have plenty of windows that let the light in. sometimes avoid putting outside lights on during the summer because it attracts bugs.

One of the first things I do when I wake up in the morning is cut off all the lights in the house that I leave on at night. It cuts down on the electric bill and I am all for that. It saves energy and money. Don't forget to pull out the plug as well because even though you turn it off if it's still plugged in it's using energy.

It depends.  In my office, that side of the house doesn't get a lot of light in unless it's the middle of summer on a very bright day, so I turn on a desk lamp to be able to do my work.  In other areas of the house, the house was brilliantly designed with lots of cross windows so I keep the curtains open and leave those lights off as long as possible.

I keep windows open, only time I use a light during the day is if I actually need to see in the back of the house (kitchen with no windows, bathroom/vanity). I hate wasting power, drives me crazy when my soon to be ex-fiance does it.

No, I have to save money.  I do have to remind my kids to turn off the light during the day time.  You have to learn at a early age to save money.
