The number of stars on a member's profile are given by the Admin/FC site for the number of submissions to the forum. I have a few thousand forum posts mostly because I have been here for a few years and there are many other members that have been here for a long time as well.

I do not want to mislead you, the Admin/Kohler are very strict on some aspects of the rules here and for good reason, they don't want people posting crappy topics or one word replies just to get the monthly $3.00 bonus, and it has made FC one of the best sites on the net.  I see that you are a newbie and I want to WELCOME YOU and wish you happy earnings.

As far as earning your stars, they will come in time. Welcome to FC.

All CAPS is generally considered to indicate yelling.  It's acceptable to use a few caps for emphasis but too many and it becomes difficult to read.

I think the stars go up as you post...so just go for forum bonus every month and you'll eventually get them

I never put much thought on the star thing and knowing this correlates with the number of post I really don't think they're necessary as our ranking (i.e. newbie, jr member, full member, etc.) should be sufficient enough. Of course on other forums I never caught on the true hype with "reps" either.
