Suspecting fraud?
« on: August 15, 2011, 08:54:10 am »
Who do I contact here if I suspect someone has two accounts? Someone with the sn dlang88 has a whole string of useless forum topics, and every one of them is answered by an equally spammy responder. I think they are trying to cheat. Thanks!

I suggest that you open a support ticket for this.   I would not post any identifying information on any of the discussion boards.

I guess I am NOT the only one who noticed that, interesting you wrote this. You can contact admin or kohler and have them check it out, but looking at their posts, I doubt they will get away with cheating for long....if they are. ;)

I am not sure other than making a support ticket.  How do you know they are the same person?  I am just curious?  I didn't know we could tel that from our computers I thoght they would have the check the IPS address. Also how would they get paid if they have only one address because I believe you have to have a physical address and not a po box.  I  also believe they veryify your information.

The address your check is mailed to can be a po box

I haven't seen these so I'm not sure exactly what was said. But they must have 2 computer if it is the same person because you can only make one account per IP address or they won't let you if they see that it's the same. I'm sure someone could easily find another address or po box to have their checks sent to though. I would definitely let admin know so they can at least look into it. I don't know why anyone would take advantage. It's such a good site and not worth getting caught for cheating. Then they will regret it when they can't use the site at all. Everyone always gets caught at some point. I hope they really aren't cheating!

Let us know what you find out but it should not be hard for admin to catch them. They could just be best friends helping each other also.

I figure real cheaters here will get caught sooner or later by administration...in the meantime, i just focus on what I can do to earn some bucks here and not worry about those who aren't following the rules.  I'm friendly with all in the forums.

Looks like someone else alerted admin about this person, and he's been banned.

I don't know why people would cheat, I don't want to work with cheats. I am glad that Admin took the necessary steps.
