It's unlikely that it's cancer.

That's weird that you hope "all it is is internal bleeding".  Um, he'd be dead a long time ago if that were the case.

And prayer doesn't accomplish anything.  Put your trust in medical science and trained professionals instead.  They deserve the only credit.

first of all you should have kept your comment to yourself.

Umm, no offense, but if you don't want honest comments don't mention your personal life online. And you didn't read what they wrote... if your boyfriend had had internal bleeding since April, he wouldn't be alive.

first of all you should have kept your comment to yourself.

Why?  If you only expect a certain type of reaction - a.k.a. everyone telling you what you want to hear - then you're better off looking in the mirror and giving yourself props.

What it boils down to is, I'm sorry to hear about your boyfriend's condition, but to ask people to pray about it is absolutely ludicrous.  Is it not "god" who gave your boyfriend the cancer in the first place?

@trucktina: Thanks.

I am so sorry and I feel so bad that you have to be scared and can't get there.

There is no need to argue with people who don't believe that prayer works but I never understand why they get so upset that other people do.  How does my praying threaten anyone else?  In fact, if they feel it is such a waste of time, they should love for people like me to pray because it keeps me from doing other things that they probably think are stupid too.

both of you are in my prayers.

There is nothing worse then not being able to be with the ones you love when they need you.
Are you at least able to talk with the nurses station a couple of times a day?
being able to talk to the nurses really helped me a lot when my father was sick.
Again you are in my prayers.

Cancer dosen't have to be from family history of cancer. People can get cancer from the evironment. Global warming alone is killing our cells daily. It won't be long b4 we have to wear space suiits just to go to the mail box. Sorry that your bfriend has gotten sicker. If he's receving chemo that can make tthe patient sick to his stomach. Hey, forget about comments that upset you,you need to focus your energy on getting him back. The negative energy that has been spewing the last few days can be a factor. So, Let it go & think positive thoughts only. Visualize in your mind the cancer being taken out complete. visualize him getting better everyday. I'll send him another bolt of healing energy from the higher powers! Be strong  & Find the support you need during this time.

I love how Atheists won't attribute any great miracles to God,but are the first to blame every calamity on Him. ::)

This isn't the D&D area.I find it in bad taste to start a debate about religion in a thread someone started asking for a prayer request.

I will pray for you. :angel11:

I wasn't starting a debate, all I was saying is I find it extremely odd why people think "prayer" is worthwhile in the slightest (other than calming weak minds).  It's incompatible with one of your popular attributes of god; that is, him being omniscient.

Please don't.  lol  I highly doubt you will talk to yourself tonight and be like, "God bless that random stranger atheist chick on the silly forum."  We all know you are just saying this to make yourself feel good.

Here! Here! Good answer Queenofnines, its pretty sad that people put so much faith into things that don't exist, but the tangible things that really could help a brother out, like DOCTORS AND SCIENTISTS, don't get any praise!

Prayer surely can't hurt.
