Saving for a big cross country trip here.
A big help is putting away savings from coupons ... pretending that we are paying full price and stashing the savings.
It's a psych thing, but it's working well so far with what is put away.

I am saving for a trip to the Florida Keys this winter. I can just see it now. All the fun of Hawaii without the long plane trip and expense. YAHOO!

I'm ALWAYS saving for a vacation, lol.  Hubby and I go someplace major at least once a year.  :)

I keep saving for trip, but most of the time, the savings was taken by my partner. so  saving is not one person's responsablity. it need both of the family memeber do it.

I'm slowly saving to take my oldest niece on a cruise or other special destination of her choosing in a couple years.  Hope to offer the same to all my nieces and nephews - good thing they are all spaced out by at least a couple years.   ;D

Yep, saving for a trip next month to North Carolina, and then a (probable) trip to Mexico in January.

I have a "vacation fund"...It's a jar that I put all my loose change in. I also add some extra bills every once in a while. I am also going to take some books to 1/2 price book store to get some extra money for my vacation fund. Whatever extra I get, goes to my fund.

I'm saving for Christmas, I want to do something special this year. It seem's like as we get older Christmas just isn't the same for some reason, so I want to go some where this year, so I'm trying to save for this.

I just came back from an overseas trip.  I didn't spend months saving although I did have a travel fund but I used that for something else a few months ago.  I just allocated one paycheck from last month for the trip.  I just held it in the account and I will just take it and use it to pay the credit card. I'll start a travel fund again when I pay down more of my debt.
