Do you have a bread machine?

Many years ago I learned to bake my own bread.  Nothing tasted better than cutting off the heel of a warm loaf of bread and spreading it with butter.  Then I got a bread machine and used it for quite a bit.  It made great bread.  Now it sits in the corner or one of my kitchen counters.  I think I should get it into use again.  I had collected some good recipes.

I usually make my bread myself. I do have a bread machine, but barely ever use it. I think my bread turns out better.

I have a bread machine.  I couldn't tell you where it is at this moment, but I have been thinking of looking for it and making some bread.  When I was making bread my family really enjoyed it, but someone bread making went the way of the world..

I have a bread machine and it's somewhere in my basement.  I was looking to getting a more modern one, but have been dragging my feet.  The one I had was okay, only the bread came out square, and the mixing thingy always created a huge hole when I took the finished loaf out, so I wasn't a huge fan of that model.  The bread itself was tasty though.

Would like to get into making bread by hand - not counting sweetbreads like banana or zucchini bread - those I can make no problem.  Talking more about the raised dough breads.

Dust those machines off and get baking.  My friend, Kay, who is also a Fusion Cash member knew that I had been looking for one to give to my dad.  She boxes hers up and mailed it to me.  Bless her heart.  We have made many loaves and enjoyed them all.  A few weeks ago we even tackled sour dough starter and made our own sour dough bread.  Tasted just like the real San Francisco stuff.

I agree that "old fashioned" way of making homemade bread is tasty and preferred but the bread machine is easy and consistent too so that helps! 

Making me hungry for warm sliced bread.....yummmmm

I do have a bread machine but hardly use it.  Last time I used it my dog took the bread of the counter when it was cooling and ate the whole thing.

i've never, ever made my own bread!
now, i've eaten homemade bread and nothing
i've ever tasted comes close to the stuff, especially
when its fresh and warm. mmm...

how long does the bread last, if you make your own?
that's the only issue i think i would run into. we don't
eat bread every single day, so store-bought is more
practical for us since it doesn't go bad as quickly.

I received a bread machine from a friend.
I used it once and was very disappointed.
I would rather do it from scratch and trial and error with an oven where I have more control over the process.
It is sitting in the attic somewhere ... I should take it down and garage sale it next time.

That was the nicest thing for Kay to do.  I agree.....bless her.  What a great friend.

I have a bread machine, but haven't used it in quite awhile.  I kind of go in streaks where I will use it for awhile and then not for awhile.

I think the Bread machines were a fad that has died, I had one and used it often, but then it got to be a pain to lug it out of the back of the cabinet, I gave it to my daughter and I think it ended up in a garage sale.

Yes I use my bread machine regularly. I make hot rolls and use the machine to make my dough and then I make the rolls from there.  I also make bread for communion for church in my machine. I love it!

I guess I am not the only one who has hidden the machine away and not used it for a while.
