do ur neighbors use YOUR garbage cans?

my neighbors use our garbage cans and it wasnt once or twice. its been all the time since they moved in. GET UR OWN DAMN GARBAGE CANS OR I WILL MAKE UP SOME LIE AND HAVE U EVICTED>>I DONT WANT U HERE NE WAY!!

When we lived in a house we never had that problem, but if they did then I would be pissed off. You could politely tell them to use their own cans. You can always file a complaint with the police if they get rude and say it makes the cans overflow with garbage and animals get into them at night, scattering garbage on your property or something.

We rarely use our can we just put out bags of garbage.  If I saw them I would go out and ask why are you using my garbage cans.

It's rare but when it did happen they actually came into the yard to take our garbage can to fill it with lawn crap...kinda pissed me off but it never happened again

I don't have a choice since I live in a apartment building with many neighbors. We do have a huge garbage can on each side of the apartment building but, everyone seems to use the one on my side. It gets annoying to see my garbage can full before the end of the week while the other one looks empty. Then, my neighbors talks about how we need more garbage cans. We don't need anymore garbage cans if you ask me.

yeah i took out both garbage cans we have and only one was moved back in front of the garage like it was their garbage can. so i moved the other one next to it and i think im gonna go put them in the garage now. lol

No but I have a neighbor that doesn't like me so she will throw her weeds in my drive or she will weed our shared flower garden and throw the weeds on my drive. I finally got fed up and pushed then into the street and she finally picked them up.

It's not the garbage can on my block. It's the recycling bend that get stolen. Residences are suppose to get 2 recycling bends per house. When it was taken I was too busy & crazy things were happening to notice. I didn't complain to the WM people then but I began to notice houses with 3 bends, others 2, sometime houses w/o recycling bends. Well, it seems like each yr. the waste management company hikes up the the bill. I might as well complain about some neighbors stealing others recycling bend. What right do they have to take what's not theirs for their own use. I know for a fact that they are not paying extra for the extra recycling bend! In fact I'm paying for it as well as some other neighbors who's things on their yard had been stolen. Ya, we have NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH here all right; your neighbor watches/cases you. When you're gone they try to be helpful & steal you stuff off your yard or break into to your house & steal the flat screen tv! Of course nobody saw anything & the cops are no help. Must b/c the cops are crooked too!

I thought trash cans would be one of the last things that anyone would steal. I guess, they couldn't afford to buy their own trash cans LOL.

I had a neighbor borrow a can once... They had had a family get together over the weekend, so they asked if they could put some of their garbage in with mine (the garbage company charges extra if the can they give you overflows with extra bags). Since I didn't fill my can completely, I agreed that they could use some of my garbage space too.

If the neighbors are actually using your cans without your consent, you can report them for either theft of property (if you own the cans) or theft of service (if the WM company owns the cans and you are allotted that amount of garbage). Furthermore if you are in an apartment, you could complain to the landlord and have them tlk to your neighbors.

In my old neighborhood, I spray painted my address on my cans.  Just the house number would do. 

In this neighborhood, I have a big trash can supplied by our trash company.  I rarely fill it as I recycle everything that can be recycled.  Nobody bothers with this trash bin.
