Anyone have good advice on dating again after 4 years of being single

After being single for such a long time it's hard getting back out there, any good advice and what to watch out for. or should I say who to watch out for.

I am in a relationship with my sons father and I think if anything ever happened I am fine being by myself, some days it feels like it anyway, we're not highly intimate and that is not a need of mine, if I want companionship I have my son, our dog, my family. So I ask to you, Why not stay single? Or does it all go back to the grass is always greener?

When you lost someone you love its hard to be free to love another I think. However its a good thing to learn to love yourself first. Then when your ready someone at your level might come to you.

Im ready but not really looking so will have to just run into them.

And feel the love at first sight.

Treat Dating as a "FriendShip".

here are some key tips.

Don't pay for him/her unless you two have been dating for a good while and the "FriendShip"

seems solid and mutual,

another thing to remember is that personalities clash, if this happens then the relationship wasn't meant to be for either of you.

    Make jokes and set the mood even if it seems crappy

6. Compliment atleast twice, it keeps them happy and interested, (hmmm they must really like m if they are complimenting me so much)
7. let them talk about there interests with you, this goes on and off the clock. (Communication is key to a healthy relationship)
8. Its the year 2011 let them be independant, unless there used to having doors opened for them/chairs pulled for them its best to be careful with this one    (talking about something that happend to me  while back XDDD)
9. Wether its dating online or dating IRL -In Real Life- Get as much information on the person before taking them out (no I'm not talking about back ground checks I' talking about things they enjoy doing outside there house, as well aspersonal hobbies.
10 = and this is key *Always be Yourself* (they like you for your personality not for what you have or what you do!)
