You cannot serve both God and Money. Matthew 6:24 (NIV)

Then serve neither and walk on your own two feet.

'explaining away' can convince us that such passages are the product of Divine Wisdom."

Galatians 6:7-10 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

Galatians 6:7-10 Do not be deceived

If you believe in such religious superstitions, you already have been deceived.

James 5:16

Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

No, there is no evidence to support that contention.

Matthew 5:11-12

Promises, promises ... and at some point, these duplicate 'biblical verses' become repetitious, (especially when repeated simply as proselytizing).

"There is a story, which is fairly well known, about when the missionaries came to Africa.  They had the Bible and we, the natives, had the land.  They said "Let us pray," and we dutifully shut our eyes.  When we opened them, why, they now had the land and we had the Bible."

You would certainly know about repetition...
There are only 10 types of people in the world:  those who understand binary, and those who don't.

That's because I see it every time a religious adherent posts the same superstitious beliefs, (then they expect a different response to their repetitions). Doubtless the circularity is non-ironic.

Well, that's one of the inherent problems in reposting biblical verses over and over; repetition is inevitible.  Since such isn't prohibited, don't be too concerned about any recyclings of dissenting viewpoints either.

I never said anything about your "recyclings".....it's to be expected.  ;D

Sometimes recycling is a good idea, others times - not so much.
