Geez....you're in the wrong thread!! This is NOT the Debate & Discuss thread, so will you kindly mosey back over there where you belong?

Wrong thread, how so?  This is the off-topic open forum where both biblical quotes, (not "verses", those are within earlier versions of different bibles and actually rhymed), and occassional commentary to them are off-topic.  While these sporadic attempts to prevent non-xtians from commenting are slightly amusing, such attempts are thinly-veiled censorship.  There is no inherent requirement to post only where some religious adherents believe observational commentary, (which happens to disagree with the favored belief/faith evangelicized by requoting biblical passages), "belong".  Do I, (or any other non-xtian), urge xtians to post only here or there?  No.  Are they urged to silent censorship should they dissent with non-xtian views?  No.  Who are the ones doing so; supposed xtians?  Yes.  Curious, is it not?

Many professional, (paid), speakers would disagree and rightly so.  Some of them are even nominally xtian; imagine that.

So, falcon9.
I did not know that you were supposed to stay in the D & D forum, that all this time you've been straying from where you were supposed to be posting...... :angry7:

Tsk, Tsk...

::) NOW we're going to have to request a "Go Away-You Aren't Supposed to Post Here, You Don't Belong Here" button, for everyone to use.....
Maybe we can request one that makes a LOUD noise, like a buzzer..doorbell...something, so every time you
get loose and start posting on boards other than D & D, everyone on line would know when you get caught..?

 ;D (Sorry...bad idea) ;D

Maybe not as bad of an idea as a similar button which produced a loud raspberry noise for the one pushing it, (not quite comparable to breaking wind, to signify breaking loose from under the hob-nailed boot proposed by would-be censors).

This thread is pointless and stupid. He is welcome to comment on anything in this forum including but not limited to useless threads such as this one.

First, I will apologize because yes, you can comment anywhere you please, BUT there is indeed a separate Debate & Discuss sub-forum, and it would just be nice, just once, for someone to not start making a debate out of a thread that started as something that was meant for inspiration (for those of us who will embrace it). If y'all don't like Christians, or "bible thumpers" or whatever you want to call us, then why in the world do you even bother with these kinds of threads? I for one, am NOT going to change what I believe because of your posts, so what purpose do they serve?

Secondly, Falcon.....I will pray for you!!!! Have a nice day!

Well, they're all coming out of the woodwork now! What a surprise! ::) Anything to ruin the one refuge Christians on this forum have.

I appeal once again to not feeding the trolls. This is NOT a D&D thread. It is called "daily Bible verse" meaning contribute a verse,or leave it alone. The D&D is down the hall.

I also have to admit I find it laughable that some want to consider this thread less contributory than the dozen "Count to infinity!" or  "One word game!" threads that continue to thrive.

Google JediJohnnie and May the Force be with you!

There are several instances of such threads where no dissenting views had been expressed.  There are only two examples of instances where a dissenting viewpoint was expressed.  Clearly, what you are lamenting is any dissent, (rather than an abundance of it).  As you mention, anyone can post in any thread, (not just the D+D subforum).

If y'all don't like Christians, or "bible thumpers" or whatever you want to call us, then why in the world do you even bother with these kinds of threads?

I never stated such a view, (that would be your inference).  There is, however subtle, a difference between having reasons to dislike baseless religious claims and having no particular like or dislike for the claimant.  My dissenting views focus primarily upon empty assertions and not particularly upon who is asserting them, (which is quite the opposite course that many of those making empty assertions take).

I for one, am NOT going to change what I believe because of your posts, so what purpose do they serve?

Generally, those who minds are closed by blind faith are unable to change however, there's always the possibility that some will use their functional eyes to see for themselves, (rather than taking beliefs as a matter of 'faith' alone).

Secondly, Falcon.....I will pray for you!!!! Have a nice day!

Since such was neither requested nor needed, I find such unsolicited religious acts on my behalf to be rude and offensive.  I would make a cease and desist request if you are indeed polite enough to comply.

Three compared to over a dozen is "coming out of the woodwork"?  As for "one refuge", what are you babbling about?  People, (nominally including xtians), can post in any forum or thread; why is some sort of "refuge" needed?  Is that some kind of lament for a thread where only xtians can bible-thump at one another, to the exclusion of anyone else?  This isn't some xtian countryclub, amigo.

This is NOT a D&D thread. It is called "daily Bible verse" meaning contribute a verse,or leave it alone.

That is most emphatically NOT inherently required, (despite such attempts to moderate content, this is the "off-topic" forum and content isn't moderated except within FC's TOS and posting guidelines).  There is no implicit or explicit requirement to post a "verse", (which hasn't yet been done - non-rhyming biblical passages are not "verses").

The D&D is down the hall.

Just as apropos, the "ignore" button is just to your left.  Choose wisely, (rather than continue to ignore by not ignoring).

Matthew 5:44-45

How are textual challenges conflated with 'persecution', (unless this is merely a martyred stance)?
