King James Version (KJV)

Ephesians 6:10-11 (NIV)
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.

It's the least I can do to take time to read what you took the time to write and rewrite.
However, if I didn't read them, then I couldn't respond to those same ole same ole remarks.   :P

There's a difference between simply 'responding' and replying to the context/content of a post which seems to elude your responses.

There's also a difference between merely reading words and comprehending the meaning of what's been read - especially when a reader is hampered by religious blind faith.

Then a teacher of the law came to him and said, “Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go.” Jesus replied, “Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.” Another disciple said to him, “Lord, first let me go and bury my father.” But Jesus told him, “Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead.”

This reader, aka me, is certainly not hampered by "religious blind faith."  Perhaps you are just "hampered" by not fully understanding what being a believer and having faith are all about.  You don't think you are, however, I just had to make my own point as a possibility, that I figure you won't even consider anyway.  That's fine - I already know where you stand.

The content of your posts, (which I have read and comprehended), tends to indicate otherwise.

Perhaps you are just "hampered" by not fully understanding what being a believer and having faith are all about.  You don't think you are, however, I just had to make my own point as a possibility, that I figure you won't even consider anyway.  That's fine - I already know where you stand.

Since I do understand the difference between something which has no substantive evidence and something which does, (as demonstrated by all those posts reiterating such a difference), it's been shown that "faith" can be understand just fine without 'having' it.  Faith, by conceptual definition, is "blind" because it lacks supporting evidence or valid attributions.  Things that have supporting evidence do not require "belief", (they have attributions which can be objectively-verified, rather than being subjectively experiential).

Apparently, whomever scribbled down that little gem had some dim awareness that "faith" has no more substance than 'hope', (" to want or expect something; to have a wish to get or do something or for something to happen or be true ... the emotional state which promotes the belief in a positive outcome ...").  Wishful-thinking, in other words, which has no "substance" and is an intangible belief.

So?  For you, that's fine, not an issue.  For others, it's fine and not an issue with them, either.  You go your way and they go theirs, right?  No problems for either, for now, right?  :)

2 Timothy 1:7,12 (KJV)

7 "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."

12 "For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day."

2 Timothy 1:7,12 (NIV)

7 "For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline."

12 "That is why I am suffering as I am. Yet this is no cause for shame, because I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him until that day."

Paul's encouragement for us even when suffering comes.  We (believers) may not know the greater picture, but can rest in the confidence that God does.

We have been going our own separate ways for some time now.  Religious adherents have been initiating proselytizing public posts and others have been opposing such propaganda.  Doubtless this will continue as long as we are going our own ways and not allowing opposing viewpoints to be suppressed by xtian would-be censors.

Nice verses, folks!  Keep up the good work!

Job 40:1-8

The Lord said to Job: “Will the one who contends with the Almighty correct him?
Let him who accuses God answer him!”

Then Job answered the Lord: “I am unworthy —how can I reply to you?
I put my hand over my mouth.
I spoke once, but I have no answer —
twice, but I will say no more.”

Then the Lord spoke to Job out of the storm:
“Brace yourself like a man;
    I will question you,
    and you shall answer me.
 “Would you discredit my justice?
Would you condemn me to justify yourself?"
