You mentioned in another thread that you once were a "bible-thumper" yourself for 15 years!!

It turns out that was "Falconer02", (not 'falcon9').  The only 'thumping' I've engaged in has been figuratively over the heads of the bible-thumpers.
One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.

falcon....why are you so disheartened?? You mentioned in another thread that you once were a "bible-thumper" yourself for 15 years!! What happened....if you don't mind me asking???

It turns out that was "Falconer02", (not 'falcon9').  The only 'thumping' I've engaged in has been figuratively over the heads of the bible-thumpers.

What the ... ?  No such claim has ever been made by me, at any time.  Mainly because that would be a false claim.  Please produce the exact quote and message ID# which you are attributing to me in error.  It'd be a shame to prove you to be a liar, (something which I'd not considered and likely this is just a simple error of attribution to someone else).

falcon,
First, I do apologize for getting you confused with Falconer02....I'm sure that you can see how easy it would be for that to happen, as you stated, a simple error of attribution to someone else, since your user names are so similar. Thank you for finding it for me!!! I've only been able to be on FC minimally the last few days, and haven't had much time to go see where I saw that.  :notworthy:

(Still praying for you, by the way!.....Have a great week!  ;D)

Quite alright; I do understand the human error involved and didn't think you'd done it intentionally.

You're welcome.  Thanks for acknowledging that's what happened, (btw, I've never been xtian for reasons which have probably been made clear already ... which may account for my comment after your 'praying curse').

(Still praying for you, by the way!.....Have a great week!  ;D)

It's unclear why you'd do such a thing when I'd previously declined the offer, (and mentioned that many xtians would likely be 'offended' were a coven of satanists go ahead and summon a 'daemon' on their behalf and against their consent).  Although no evidence connecting 'prayer' to any attributible results exists, (neither does any exist to support 'daemonic summonings'), both could be considered to be 'curses', depending upon one's point of view.

A Bible verse that helps me keep going sometimes is "Be still and know that I am God".

evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that
takes religion."

1 Corinthians:56-58
56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

58 Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

The vast majority of xtians have access to some form of 'bible'.  Why is it they they feel compelled somehow to copy & paste various random "passages" from a dubious account which other xtians have access if they aren't evangelizing?

While you're as free to evangelize as others are to oppose it, the above question remains rhetorical.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (NIV)
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Romans 12:9-10 (NIV)

Naturally, evidence can be presented to support such claims, right?  Care to present it, (keeping in mind that "faith" constitutes 'belief without evidence')?

Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Hebrews 11:1

That passage is as illogical as the majority of any 'bible-thumping' quotes.  The concept of "faith" is having a belief when there's NO evidence or substance to such a belief.  It does not constitute "evidence of things not seen", (or, verifiable in any way).  "Hope" would be synonymous with "faith" in that both are unreasonable expectations.  Having unreasonable expections is irrational.
