How Much are you paying for your cell phone service? Is it too much?

I am planning on purchasing a new phone, but the phone I like will require a higher plan rate? I was just wondering how much everyone else is paying for the phone. Are you under a contract? How much do you feel is too much to pay per month for cell phone service? I am currently under a $40/month rate plan but will have to upgrade to $50 for the new phone. Your thoughts, please?

I have a Virgin Mobile cell phone.  Love it -- best thing I've had.  I pay $25 each month and I get unlimited web, text and 200 anytime minutes which works fine for me.  I don't talk much at all (unless I'm on vacation/business trip).  I have a Virgin Mobile broadband 2 go mc760 too and it's the bomb.

I use Tracphone with prepaid minutes, That way there is no contrac and I can keep it within my buget by buying the minutes as I need them and I get no monthly bill! Works well for me!

Yikes, we have sprint too.  The 4 of us pay $120, however, we do not have a data plan.  Just need the unlimited texting for the kids.  I think $120 is too much! 

Anyone have any ideas on good family plans?

Since we don't use a cell phone much, I also have tracfone and pay $5-$6 a month to keep it active plus minutes about once a year.  I think the phone itself cost $10 and came with a few minutes.  It's certainly not very fancy but serves it's purpose.

40 bucks a month for Virgin Mobile.  That includes 1200 minutes, unlimited web, unlimited text.  My brother has Boost mobile and is on the diminishing rate plan where your monthly plan is reduced by 5 dollars down to 35 dollars for regular monthly payments.  He likes Boost, but is considering switching to Virgin Mobile as we have both noticed that at least in our area Virgin mobile has better reception, no dropped calls as opposed to his service.

Two phone on Metro PCS unlimited everything including taxes is $100.00. I pay $55/month for the Blackberry Curve and $45/month for an LG Android phone. Yes it is worth every penny.

Luckily I got on my son's family plan for 10.00 a month. Before that I had T-Mobile and paid around 36.00 a month. I don't use mine much though, but I like it being there.
