I used to pick up pennies if I saw them on the street, store, wherever, but not anymore.  I'm not rolling in dough, but I'm not desperate either.  The trade off of unknown germs isn't worth the reward of 1 cent these days.  When I was a kid, and I'm only 33, I could buy designated penny candy from the local convenience store so a penny was worth something to me.  I usually won't bother unless it's a dime or above, how many germs can be on a dime? :P

A penny ...a peso whatever :)  A penny saved is a penny earned.
As for the germs, all money has that but if you really don't want that hundred I can find a good place for it. ;D

I'd rather earn my pennies on this site than pick one of the ground, outside of my house of course.  I'm constantly picking up pennies and other change off my floor so they don't get sucked up in the vacuum.  As for the 100 me and Benjamin had a lot of fun hanging out while it lasted.  Keep me in mind for all those pennies your earning.  I'll give you my paypal account address. :)

if I see any one, I will pick it up. so I can save them, cos when in the store, even if there is one penny, you have to pay, I know that is not much. but for me, we should save even one penny since there are many people who doesn't even have food to eat, if each of us save one penny and donate it then the population of USA, gather all, it would reach more than 300 Million cents,30 million dime, 3 million dollars

I don't care what it is whether it's a penny to a quarter, as long as it is US currency, I'll pick it up! As for it not worth it, today, I found coins that added up to 29 cents! 29 cents that didn't have just landed in my pockets. Germs, are every where that's way you bring pack of wipes with when you go out. We Americans are too over medicated anyway. How can our bodies develop immunity to the viruses & disease when we stop the process by taking that drug, or getting that flu shots. You know what's dirtier than a penny off the ground? Lip locking with your love one doing the french. I don't care how much you brush or gargle, there still be trillions of germs & viruses living & breeding in your mouth. So, my thing is see a penny pick it up, you get free change, some physical exercise no costly membership required, exercise your immune system no shot or doctor visit required. It' a win - win  deal!

It is amazing how many pennies and other coins I find in the Walmart parking lot. It is also amazing how fast it adds up. It is sort of like doing the dailys on Fusion Cash. It amounts to about $10.00 a month. As I said "AMAZING". ;D

A penny saved is a penny earned and I will always stoop to pick up a penny. I will even pick up a Euro which is worth even less on aforeign exchange rate at about 7/8s of a cent. I will pick up an aluminum can worth 3/4s of a cent.  They say that it costs Bill Gates two hundred dollars to stop and pick up a one hundred dollar bill but I am not in that league andjust scrambling to give my children every monetary opportunity available which is why I post here.

I've found that picking up a head's up penny usually costs me a dollar because my husband thinks they're lucky  :BangHead: but I pick up all the money I find.  It's free money after all  ;D

If I see it I will pick it up it does not matter what it is I always pick it up My mother always use to pick up pennies and any thing else that was laying around She had a jar that she would put the pennies in and we kids there are nine of us would get to spend it mostly on ice cream in the summer Funny how one little comment triggers a found memory

I'll pick up pennies, check the date on them and throw them in the dish water.
