Netflix site down.....Fixed!! : )
« on: July 18, 2011, 07:35:50 pm »
I haven't heard an official reason as of yet, but for the past 2 days the Netflix site has been down.  Well actually yesterday for a brief time I was able to get on the site, but couldn't watch any streaming movies.  I wouldn't be surprised if someone hacked the site.

It took a little time to figure out what was going on, but customer service was helpful and got the issue resolved.  Hopefully, Netflix is turning the tide in resolving this issue for everyone.  It seems like it was more of a glitch in their server than a hacker.

I wouldn't be surprised either.  They pissed off a ton of people.

That may make a difference, I don't know.  I looked online and I'm not the only one.  Netflix states they are working on fixing the problem.  It's a waiting game now.

I am sorry to hear that the Netflix site is down. I hope it gets up soon for everyone that is paying for the service. I know that I am going to stop using the service by the end of this month just because I don't have the means to pay for it anymore. Plus Redbox seems to be a cheaper options since I don't rent as many movies anymore.

I agree .... especially since Netflix is raising their prices!!!  Redbox is much cheaper!

I have switched to the cheaper plan since the price hike.  8 bucks a month and you can watch unlimited movies and/or tv series downloaded via your computer or game console.  Redbox is 1 dollar per movie, you have a limited selection and it is one dollar a day charged thereafter unless you bring the movie back on time.  If you watch a lot of movies or rather anything over 8 movies a month then Netflix is still the way to go.

I'm not happy about the price increase, but glad they were able to fix my service.  I canceled the mail option and now only use streaming of movies to my computer and tv through my 360.  Way better solution than using *bleep*'s pay per view.  That would be 5 dollars per instant movie on your tv for 24 hours of viewing. :bs:

I used to rent from Redbox but stopped when a 20 dollar charge showed up on my credit card. My boyfriend had returned 2 movies we rented and It didn't show up that we had returned them. He called and spoke to someone but In the end we still had to pay the 20 dollars.
