Photoshop vs. A great photo

I get mad at my father a lot because he says that I’m a lousy photographer but a great editor.  With photo shop yes you can edit a photo but you have to start with a great photo to begin with.  He came from an era where you had to take a great photo because there was no photo shop.  Yes I know how to photo shop but I still believe I take great pics where photo shop is unrequired.  It’s unfair to say that simply because I can photo shop my pictures and he couldn’t I’m a lousy photographer and he’s a great one.

You do not need a good photo to begin with to make it good with photoshop just saying. This could easily be the truth if your father is a better photographer but you make your pictures look better than his because you edit them more with photoshop.

You can Photoshop a great looking image without even having a photo to start from, if you are good enough.
