Yes - fast food & minimum wage jobs
No - good paying jobs with benefits
Have a wonderful day!

There are slim to no jobs where I live and I live 60 miles from a major city.  My little rual area of Ontario and Nyssa Oregon we have No jobs and if they do come up they are taken in a flash it seems.

Yes, depending on what you're experienced in. Welding, paint and trim, janitorial, health care (BIG TIME), law enforcement, communications, factory...etc; And this is a small area in PA. We are fortunate. Takes a lot of footwork but they are out there. :dontknow:

I don't know the job rate where I live but I would say yes people where I live seem to be gainfully employed.  I live in a solid middle class area where most people commute to other places for work.  I just found out the other day that there is a GM plant not too far from me I didn't even know it.

Just outside Charlotte NC...almost impossible to get a job unless its the minimum wage pay that usually only hire teenages (fast food and such).

Same in my location.  There are alot of businesses where there would be minimum wage jobs available except since there are too many people and not enough full time jobs available, people are working 2-3 part time minimum wage jobs to make ends meet...so the jobs are taken.  I've searched for openings on business websites and they will have openings for other cities but not mine.  I've gone into the businesses anyway and asked for an application and they have said to visit their website and wait for an opening.
It's really frustrating as the bills are piling up, but I know God is watching over me.  I am trying my best to be diligent with the job searching and patient in the meantime.

My area is a resort community, so the same as many other places, there are low paying jobs.  Waitress jobs are some of the best around here.  Someone working at the right place can make so so money, but there really are no high paying jobs at all.  We never have crime here, but I notice that people are starting to get mugged in parking lots and walking along sidewalks in tourist areas now.  It is obvious that people are getting deserate.  It is not uncommon here for people to work 2 and three jobs.
