My personal opinion is that marijuana should be legal.  It costs way too much in this drug war against a substance which you can't even overdose on.  Marijuanna became illegal in 1937 due in large part to racism and misinformation.  It was touted that marijuana made blacks lustful over white women, that it would make it's user go insane, or cause a plethora of bad behavior.  Salvia which is a very pyschoactive drug is currently legal in most U.S. states while the comparitively benign marijuanna is criminalized.  I've looked at all corners of the internet for reasons why salvia is legal, but have not found a definitive reason why it has not been condemned.  Not that I think we need another law criminalizing a personal consumption choice, but it does seem very strange especially seeing as how the faux pot, "Spice", has recently been made illegal.  They sold "spice" in stores through VA until late last year and no one was ever imperiled from it's use, improper as it may have been.  Spice was actually sold in little packages and ostensibly called potpourri, but with labels such as "Cloud 9" it was clear there was another purpose.  Lastly, there is peyote which is a psycoactive drug legal only for Native American religious purposes.  Native Americans and Government are apparently allowed to have their fun.   Have you ever seen the drugs that are legal and thrust at us by the FDA?  May cause heart failure, eczema, premature birth, blindness, infertility, burning sores, et cetera.  I guess it's legal as long as there is money to be made.  For the record I do not use marijuana/pot and would lose my job should I ever be tested positive.  I am a proponent of libertarian freedoms, the end of hypocrisy, and propaganda.  It's about time the smoke is cleared from the public eye and truth be seen.

I did a late search and noticed that pot is a well treaded area so I revised my topic to be more comprehensive.  I really am very confused on how Spice is illegal and Salvia isn't. ??? :dontknow:  I understand peyote being legal for Native Americans, they've had enough grief so give them a break.  I wish I had a bigger soapbox to stand on and get someone's attention and answers.
