I am pretty much the same way. I know some people like to have the latest gadgets, but I am cheap! I have had 3 cell phones in 10 years! (nokia, samsung, LG)

I've switched probably every 2 years or so. It's just ridiculous how they can justify charging you hundreds for a phone, even the non smart ones

Whenever my current one breaks.  I barely use it anyway.

Usually, I wait until the first one breaks, but recently my son gave me a BlackBerry because he didn't like my old Motorola Razr. I'm still learning the BlackBerry.

Ive had my blackberry for about 3years now. I have been looking into switching to iphone lately though

every two years, the same time my contract expires. After it does, I get to pick a new phone upon a renewal of my contract.

I usually upgrade about every 2 years!   Thats usually when my carrier offers a special deal or a free phone!

i am not into a cell phones.couple of times i broke my phone and even was in a toilet(by mistake)heheh...
