well, I'm not sure if you've seen my previous posts or not about my "nosey neighbors"...that life-sized likeness would be so perfect to place in my big bay window that faces their big bay window.  They won't put up curtains and I don't have the nerve to stand in my window and stare back at them so a life size likeness of a big, strong man would be pretty awesome!!  (Just make sure it isn't "smiling"--- we're going for the "I mean some BIG serious business" look!   ;)  )

on 2nd thought...scratch that idea, that would just make them even more nosey.  They'd be breaking out the binoculars trying to see who I have over in my house and there would be rumors all over the neighborhood! (lol)

Haterz gotta hate, Sheryl.

You are all officially my favorite people of the day!

....and FYI...that was kind of a big deal back when I was in college.  ;)

It's STILL a BIG deal in my neighborhood.  There's a church on our street (I won't mention the religion but it has ALOT of strict rules and most of them are ok but they don't believe in teaching the entire Bible and it makes for a "strange" congregation.  The people are nice, they are good people...they're just a little "off".  Many of the neighbors walk to this church and they love to gossip.  They spread rumors on themselves, they've spread rumors on myself before...they're a "nosey, mouthy, never happy "unless they have a wild tale-to-tell" bunch.  Perhaps I should put that life-sized image on their porch steps, holding a sign that says "hell IS INSIDE" or something... :dontknow:

Does the world really NEED "haterz"?  The people that I choose to associate with are people that are: kind, intelligent, honest, down-to-earth, compassionate, good sense of humor, willing to help others, they are sensible and make wise choices, they are hard-working and always upbeat even when life is giving them a "good pounding".  If one of them says to me that I need to work on something about myself or life, I KNOW they are giving me "constructive criticism".  I know it's wiser to heed their words than "lash out" at them.  You (Amy) fit into that type of people that I prefer to associate with...not everyone can take constructive criticism, it's not easy for people to see in themselves what others can see.  If they feel a need to hate someone, maybe then they should start with that hate inside themselves.

I think the sign should say "Betcha can't guess what I'm doing..." or "If you really wanna take a picture, I've got a camera you can borrow..."

I have come to the conclusion a long time ago that the only actions I can do anything about are my own.  So, if someone feels the need to hate me or talk about me, I don't let it bother me too much (still does to a certain degree, but the only thing I can do is be me, and I know not everyone is going to like me.).  I try to lead the best life I possibly can, and let the rest fall where it may.  Life is too short and too wonderful to be anything other than who I am, and to be grateful for what I have.  I'm lucky, and I'm going to do everything I can to appreciate that, and screw anyone else who would try to stand in the way of that.  It is easy to sit around and feel sorry for yourself and hate others because they have what you want, and I refuse to be that way.  I honestly don't know if there is a heaven or a hell or non-existence waiting for me after I die, so I'll enjoy what I know I have for sure, and that is today.  Today I am going to play in $2.00 worth of play sand with my daughter and sit in a small snap set pool with her, probably get a sunburn, and smile and laugh until my cheeks hurt.  To ask for anything more seems selfish to me.   :dontknow:

I think you're pretty groovy, too, Sheryl.  And the "big deal" I was talking about in my post was an ongoing joke in college.  If someone made me smile or laugh, they were "Amy's favorite person of the day" and we even started a facebook group over it.  Just something funny that came to me one day, and it stuck.
