I'm not a big fan of marshmallows or graham crackers, so there ya go. Love chocolate though. What is so funny is that I like the Rocky Road candy bar sometimes and that has a marshmallow type filling, chocolate and nuts.....go figure.

I'm not much of a smores person. If I am going to use marshmellows I am going to make rice crispy squares.

Something I always wanted to try when I was younger but never got around to doing it. I'm going to try to make some with my family now that I have kids of my own. I think they would have fun doing something like that. thanks for the idea!

Using various items in place of a graham cracker can make them even better. Chocolate covered peanut butter graham crackers also taste pretty good. You can just use one cookie instead of two since they're so big & sweet. Mint cookies (like Girl Scouts' for example) can add a nice twist as well. As for the chocolate not melting.. try placing the package (candy bar, etc.) unopened into a bowl a fairly warm water to soften it a bit, or you could also put the chocolate in the microwave very briefly. Could even place the candy bar (wrapped, of course) into your pocket beforehand so that your body heat will soften it up. What ever you decide to try, just make sure you don't melt it too much!  :)
Making s'mores can always be fun, especially when you get creative with it! Try out some new ideas and let us all know about it! But most importantly, enjoy!
