Should cookies be deleted after an offer, but before credit?

I've read about a lot of crediting problems associated with cookies. My question is this: I have a number of offers that I completed without credit - including a paid offer. If I clear my cookies now, that is, after completing the offer but before receiving credit, will I increase my chances to be credited for the offers that I have already completed? Or is this just a tip for future offers? Your responses are much appreciated.
