mythbusters
« on: May 18, 2011, 12:36:46 am »
Any Mythbusters fans out there? I love the show and Adam is my favorite Buster. If you could have them bust any myth what would you want to be tested? Remember when they busted the myth that Christmas lights can't start a fire on real Christmas trees? I wonder what would happen if they tested this myth on artificial Christmas trees. And one step farther, how about when they used candles to light Christmas trees did that cause fires and if they did how did they prevent houses from burning down?

My husband loves the show. He will watch it for hours on end. His favorite host is Adam because he is a lot like a kid at heart. His favorite episode is the one where they do the movie myths. They break the myth of things you see in the movies.

My 11-year-old son loves that show.  He was watching the other day when they were using a pig stomach to try to bust a myth about mentos and coke making a guys stomach rupture.  They busted that one.  err....not the stomach, the myth.  Well, they did bust the stomach but it wasn't the way the myth claimed.

I have caught a few snip-its of it.  Some were very interesting.
Have a wonderful day!

I love it when a myth is plausible that they thought was going to be busted. They all look so shocked that it was actually plausible.

I completely agree, and it was hilarious when Adam burned one of his eyebrows and half his hair off. xD

The girls name is Cari. The other hosts are Jaimie Hynemann, Adam Savage, Tori Belucchi, and Grant Imhara. Sorry if I butchered any of the nae spellings but  I spelled them phonetically. I can't remember Cari's last name.

And what about the girl who builds and fixes a bunch of the stuff.  She doesn't look like the type of person who would work on engines.  Can't remember what her name is.  It is like a guys name but she doesn't look guyish.  Oh yeah, it is Scotty.

I've only seen it a few times.... and I was SHOCKED to see that they were going to duplicate Nikola Tesla's "Earthquake Machine" on live television.... but then was disappointed when they DELIBERATELY steered away from Tesla's actual design!!! They may have proved that the "theory" was plausable.... but whithout "sticking to the plans".... they "proved" nothing!!! I dont really BLAME them.... I was just disappointed!!!
