Newt's In. Your Thoughts?
« on: May 11, 2011, 07:12:58 am »
Newt Gingrich officially threw his hat into the ring in a run for 2012's Presidential race.  He's a conservative Republican with years of experience.  Do you think he'll have an impact on the race?  Does he have a shot?  I personally think he'll have a fighting chance for the Republican nomination simply because he is popular among conservatives, but if the economy improves somewhat, President Obama will be hard to beat in the end, especially now that we got Bin Laden.

On a side note, Gingrich stated he was the first nominee to announce on Twitter only today.  I disagree, as I announced my run earlier this morning on Twitter  ;)

Lord help us!  He's the reason I cancelled my Time subscription.  If he was the only person worthy enough to award their Person of the Year, I don't want any part of their magazine.
Have a wonderful day!

Now that's a scary thought.  Even the name "Newt" makes me cringe.  It sounds like something creepy-crawly.  And with all his experience it will be business as usual.  We need new blood with better ideas.

He's a liar and a grifter and there's no way he'll be the nominee.  I'm sure he'll lock up the votes of all the men who leave their cancer-stricken, hospitlaized wives for floozies, though.

While I feel Gingrich is a good man, I haven't seen anyone with the B-lls to stand against the regime that is there. It is like the Mafia
and it will take someone who understands that kind of dirty fighting who has America's interest at heart and will be forced to put his/her
life on the line. I haven't seen anyone with that kind of bravery yet. And I am sick of ol' school. the republicans that have been in
for years and allowed all the laws that have slowed eroded our freedoms, and did nothing. and while I am a conservative, republican
I haven't seen anyone yet that I believe in.
I was hoping Trump would make it because he has the b-lls to stand and spit in their face and is shrewd enough to beat them at their
game and doesn't need our tax dollars to do it. But after his cursing at that last meeting, and almost silence since, I wonder what is happening with him now.

:P I had hoped that Newt would give it up but he seems to have demons that drive him to run for President. The Republicans seem bereft of viable candidates and their recent actions which include everything BUT job creation not only makes them sound foolish but useless as well.
I am a life-long Dem and I hate what I see them doing to our country. They are not only not credible but incredible as well.

While I feel Gingrich is a good man,

For real?  The guy forced his first wife to sign divorce papers while she was in the hospital recovering from cancer surgery, has cheated on his other wives, and has done lots of other shady stuff.  There's a word for that, and that word is "scum."

Hmmm, it seems Newt's campaign is already running into trouble.  He's isolating himself from his own right wing conservatives in the Republican party and may lose funding because of it... seems like the Republican race is gonna be a crazy one...

I don't think people should write off Gingrich yet. He's apologized for the mistakes he's made in his personal life. If God has forgiven him, who are we to judge?
I think he'll go really far in the primaries, but either Herman Cain or Michele Bachmann will be the GOP nom. Romney is just too much of an establishment candidate this year.

Who are you waitin' on? Chris Christie? Sarah Palin? Paul Ryan? I'm a Conservative-- and if you are, too, then your potential candidates are already in the race.

Newt is just wasting his time and money. He's an old has-been and the ultimate washington insider. If anything, the ad he shot with Pelosi advoating carbon taxes should automatically sink him. Big thumbs down to Newt.
