Maria Shriver and Arnold Scwarzeneggar Separating?

How convenient that Arnold gets involved with one of the most politically affluent females prior to making a bid for Governor of California and, four months after he leaves office, they get separated.  Was he using her or did they get tired of each other when they had more time together?  I am leaning  towards Arnold choosing Maria to enhance his political aspirations.

I don't agree with you - he was with Maria for many years before he even ran for office - they were almost together for 25 years - take out 8 for governor and that leaves 17 years - if a political career was the reason he sure took a long time getting to it.

I am surprised it lasted that long.  Now she gets to lead the life she wants, not the one he has forced on her for years.

  I never 'got' that relationship. She is so very intelligent and astute and he is well, a body builder with an accent who made crummy movies and got elected Gov of CA.

I don't understand why people care it is there life. Why do people think the public has a right to celebrities pesonal lifes. I think it is different for politicians because they represent the people but celebrities are people that work in movies and television.

They always seemed like a mismatch to me, but so are Mary Matalin and James Carville!  We never know what's really going on, so what can I say!?!

People do fall out of love.  Not many people stay together for 25 years.  I do wish the family well.

You know when it comes to matters of the  there is no rhyme or reason - things happen and you just have to go with the flow.  Wish them both luck in the future and happiness too!

I agree. And we dont really know what was going on. Maybe something happened while he was in office but they waited until he was no longer governor.

Hmmm, was he using her, or in fact was she using him? I'd say the marriage worked out good for both of them.  He was actually a more profile person than she was prior to their marriage, so it's hard to say he was using her.  Let's face it: marriage is hard.  Maybe they've been thinking about splitting but didn't want to while he was still in office.  Can you blame them?

how can anyone be suprised that 2 people separate in us over 50% of marriages end up this way because no one want to commit to anything if it becomes hard to deal with anymore.
