There has been so much talk about BPA- free plastic substances. I am glad to know the truth. You even have to be careful of toothbrushes.
I just found out about ergonomic toothbrushes. Oral B doesn't use BPA. Colgate has been questioned; no answers from them.

I use toothbrushes made by Preserve.  They are made of recycled #5 plastic with new nylon bristles, are BPA free, have curved/ergonomic handles, and are made in the USA.  The best part about them, though, are they are 100% recyclable.  When you buy the brush, they come in a pouch with a paid business reply address on it.  Save the pouch and when it's time to get a new brush, put your old Preserve brush in it and mail it back to Preserve for free so they can recycle the handle again into more new brushes.

I use any tooth brush that looks like it will clean my mouth. Those electronic tooth brushes look tempting though.

I have been using Oral B for ages.

I use a toothbrush with a battery.  They cost only a few bucks and are better than the cheap manual ones.  I'm not sure I'm willing to spend more money than that.
