« on: April 19, 2011, 07:38:05 pm »
last time the machine pressed his finger today, what I was worrying happed, the needle went through his finger, oh god, so painful, I knew even if a little blood, I want to take him to the hospital, unlucky, I do not have car, I do not have any money with me, only coins and around 5 dollar,my husband went to work, his working place is in another city, drive 40 mins. a bad day! I do not have friends here. sigh, upset. so I can only clean his finger and put a band-Aid. anyway my son is ok, now, but I feel guilty and so sorry!

Sorry that you had a bad day but the good thing is that your son is ok.   I hope that you have better days soon, keep up the faith.

Okay... He will be fine.  I've had an epi-pen needle go straight through the nail... (LONG STORY). It will be sore, may go numb for a few days, bruise, but he should be fine. Apply pressure, provide an anti-flammatory such as ibuprophen. If your child is under 5, give the child children's tylenol around the clock. He may get upset, but it was a dramtic event. He will only do it one time.

he is only 9 months. I gave him tylonol, I hope he feels ok, he always put his finger in his mouth, even if I put band-aid, it will become wet. I put water-proof one, he pull it off. So I put another one again and again.

What is a 9 month old doing THAT close to the needle and the presser foot of a sewing machine? A child that age has no business that close to anything that he doesnt know what will happen to him.
