Well, my first time was in College, I was 18 or 19 I cannot remember, but I did make sure he was the guy I was going to marry.  He loved me and I loved him and to this day we are happly married and have been for thirthy-five years with two children and three grandchildren.  I held out until I knew I had meant my husband, he is the only man I have had sex with ever, so young girls hold out until you find that true love.

I waited until the day that I turned eighteen and had a meaningless, shallow,  sexual relation for one night as a entry point into the rites of manhood.  If I had it to do over I never would have been so callous and unfeeling.  The first time that I had sex with someone that I cared about was when I was nineteen and I cared very deeply for the girl but was too young to go anywhere with a relationship.  I had to finish school...I still think about this girl.

Sex isn't a "gift".     And asking anyone to abstain from it until marriage is unreasonable and unnecessary on many counts.  The better way to live is to aim to only have protected sex in committed relationships.
