I verified my email, created 3 style boards, and tried it both on explorer and firefox and still no credit.

It's amazing how inconsistent everything credits or doesn't credit for people on FC.

I got credit without verifying my email address.  But I did my styleboard also without verifying my email address.  I think creating the
styleboard is necessary to get credit.   It is a cute site.

Fortunately it credited for me. If you haven't in a while, you may want to try clearing your browser's cache. For firefox go to tools -> clear recent history and select cache from there.
