I agree with this. I dont like to give out my social security number and I dont like to put it in just for a survey. It would be a good idea to get more surveys that you dont have to put that in.

You are right. Giving out my ss number does seem unsafe, I haven't come across a survey that asked for it yet but I wouldn't do it if it came about.

I will never give out my social security number for any of these surveys, even if i'm missing out on on the money. There is now way i'm gonna give anyone the opportunity to steal my identity.

I Agree also!! I would not give my ssn to anyone online!! There are not many institutions that need your ssn and if someone asks for your ssn, I would be generally leary about them. If somesone is asking that, I would report it to FC, I don't see any company on FC that would require your ssn.

I don't even complete surveys that ask for a phone number.  There is no way I would put in my ssn for a survey.  I can't believe they would even ask for that.

I haven't come across a survey yet that asks for SS# and wouldn't give it if I did.  There is no reason that should be part of a survey.

I agree, I wouldn't give out my SS# for any survey just to make a few bucks. More is at risk here than missing out on some money.

I also have yet to come across a survey asking for my ssn and if I did there is no way they would get it. No one should ever ask for your SSN information unless of course you are filling out a form for a loan in a bank, needing it for doctors records, things like that. And thereafter they'll only ask the last 3-4 digits. People need to be responsible for themselves when it comes down to which information they hand out and to who

yea, giving out our ssn for a survey isn't worth it. btw, what kind of survey asks you for your ssn?
