Thank you everyone for your comments and its great to hear some of you say he is a cutie and everything. Well, I have the next 3 days off from work. So, I need to get his shots done soon. Hopefully, the vet will take care of his claws. They are sharp and getting caught in the towel that I wrap him up in. I also need to get a pet carrier for him too. Anyways, I better get back to him. Yeah, it was a toss up between getting a dachshund or a min pin. My neighbor got a female dachshund and its pretty smart and learns quickly. So, I figured I would get the same breed too. I went to the 1st owner's place and picked up Shadow and he crawled up to my chin and gave me a lick. The rest been history since then LOL. My neighbor's dog is named Belle and it took her a few days to get use to Shadow. They finally got along last night and played with each other like they been friends forever. Hope by now you have him all potty trained and hes ok with being alone for 4 hours. If hes not ok being alone for 4 hours, try giving him one of those toys that have a wind up alarm clock type inside of it, like a heart beat... it does help. I had to have one of those for my baby aussie. After he realized we werent actually leaving him alone and not coming back, he was fine. I left the radio or tv on for him too!!

He is a dachshund and he is 2 months old since Monday 11th.

He is learning really quickly and it just blows my mind sometime. He is getting better about doing his business on the potty pad. He also getting better doing it outside too. I got him Friday 8th and doing more than I expected out of him. I'm still trying to get him ready for this coming Friday when I leave for work. I think he may handle being alone for a while. Its gonna hurt to lock my apartment door and leave him behind. Well, I better get him outside for a while
