How important is your parent's opinion?

Sometimes I stop doing things because of what my parents would think even if they don't say it to me.. Do you care about what they think of you?

Well, I only have a mother and I don't mind what she thinks of me. I don't think she have anything negative about me. I also ask for her advice about anything before I make my final decision. Just like, I'm planning to get a puppy between now and May. So, I'm trying to do whats best for me and for the puppy if I decide to get one.

i think it generally depends on how old you are, but i'm not one to care much about what other people think of me. i do my own thing, i'm my own person.

Very important.  They gave me life.  Without my parents I wouldn't have been born.

My mother's opinion is important to me I will ask her what I should do about a lot of things.  She's older than me and has more experience so I would like to follow her advice.

I have always done things so other people will be happy even if it means I wont be including my parents, but I have finally got to a point of where my own happiness means more. I still value what my parents think of me, but if they can not be happy for me and proud of what I have accomplished then that is their fault. Even though I live states away from them they still want to try and control me. The thing is I am finally happy and love myself and being where I am has done that for me.

My mom's opinion is very important to me. My dad tries to have opinions on everything even if he knows nothing about the subject. So I don't often care about his.

I only have a mother and I really don't care what she thinks of me or my decisions. I don't even talk to her more than once per month, usually less.

It depends sometimes I want them to help and give their opinion but in the end it's all up to me and how I want to live my life

Sometimes it's good to ask them certain things but as you get older you have to make decisions on your own too. They may not understand the situation fully so it's good to think things through on your own.
