I know we are all on here and possibly other sites earning money. But put that aside... if you met someone before you yourself started doing this type of "job" online, and that person was doing this... would you think they were just being lazy? Would you think that what they were doing by filling out surveys, or offers that they were "really working"? Personally, I think doing what we do here IS a job. When I am sitting there dreading filling out my next survey, knowing I am going to be typing, and filling stuff out for the next half hour, only to earn .50 - 1.00 for that WHOLE time... it sure feels like a JOB to me, LOL.
My other question is about other types of jobs. A person I know on messenger said something on this subject that really had me upset a little. We were talking about alternative jobs online and in the real world. The subject turned to jobs like phone sex operators, web cam performers, and etc... This person felt those were not really jobs. That they were not hard to do, and people should not get paid to do them. I do not feel this way. I have known women who got paid for performing on web cams, and I personally used to be a phone sex operator. I know first hand with that job, it was not easy. You DID have to work at it, to earn your pay. It was not an easy job, and you have to be REALLY creative, open minded, good at communicating, and willing to be bored for hours at a time, LOL. As for web cam performing, the friends I have known who did this... lets just say it is a lot of work. You also have to have thick skin, and be able to take and deal with a lot of BS, insults, and etc... And I am talking about for women who are even drop dead gorgeous, skinny, sexy and etc... even THOSE women get insults, and stuff. From what I can figure I think a lot of people use women like that to vent, or get onto after or because their girlfriend/wife pisses them off.
So where I stand is this... For all of those jobs, I think they are just as real as working behind a fast food counter, being a cashier, waitress, doing manual labor, or any other profession out there. I think if you have to do something, and commit to a period of time to do this, and you get paid for it, then regardless of what area it is in, it is a JOB.
So the question is, how do you think or feel about these ones mentioned? Also are there any other jobs that either you think are not "real" jobs, or that others you know think are not?
