Rainy day money jar?

Does anyone have one of these? I just got one and it's really cool, it can hold up to $300(or more maybe) in change and it counts it for you!

So far I have $35.00 worth of change in my jar.

I have a Snoopy "piggy bank" that holds a few hundred dollars in coins.

i have this 3 foot pink crayon bank (its shaped
like a crayola crayon, i've had it since i was 16
and just can't part with it) that USED to hold change.
at its best, it held about $60...

but one day, soon after moving into my current
apartment, i dumped it all out and had to use it for
laundry    it broke my heart to see
months and months worth of saved change just
disappear. it was only about $15 at that point,
but still!

my pink crayon has been empty ever since.
i guess i stopped using cash soon after

I have two purple piggies-one for each of the kids...and an old cookie tin that I got for Christmas some years ago.  I have about $37.00 in mine...the kids have around twenty five each...give or take a "Im just gonna spend 4 quarters" or two!!

my son has a blue one. it was part of a gift given to him at my baby shower and was immediately put into use by everyone in my family. everyday when my dad came home he would drop all of his change in there for his "nieto". when i moved out i left it there because my sister and dad were still contributing to it (and i has moved on to the land of debit cards) it filled up by his 4th birthday and cashed out to $85 which was used to open a savings account for him. it has filled up once more since then ($79 into the savings account) and is about two thirds of the way to a third cashout

I do not have one of these but I should look into getting one. I could use some extra money on rainy days!

I keep an old flower pot in the kitchen for this, and redeem them at a grocery store coinstar when it gets filled up. It's like having a big coupon for grocery shopping on those days

Mine is filled with mostly pennies, but hey...pennies add up. So I'll have $300 in about 10 years, LOL.....

LOL my money jar is a 5 gallon water bottle and it probably has over 400.00 in itbright now but hey it works great.By the way no pennies just silver change i keep my pennies in a coffemate jar.

I have a yellow turtle for my quarters.  It's pretty close to full right now.  I'm hoping it will help finance a little casino trip that my friend and I have planned for this summer.

I have one of those bulk pickle jars for pennies, I don't think its half full. I have a cabin fund change bottle for the other money. I haven't been able to put much towards the cabin, it usually goes for the kids college instead.

I have one of those giant pickle jars; it's about half filled with change, with some dollar bills mixed in there as well.  No idea how much is in there.

A rain day jar sound like fun, I will have to see it we can find one.  I save soda cans for a rain day and cash them for something special in the summer.
