:dontknow:When my sons were younger I used to make homemade macaroni and cheese then put a vegetable in this (such as brocolli or peas) but there are many recipes that have vegetables in them and the only thing that I could suggest is to keep trying, Just a question but how big of a serving is being put on his plate? I had to put smaller amounts on my kids' plates for awhile then if they wanted more they could have more, only a suggestion but I hope that this gives you at least an idea & I am sure that he will grow out of this stage! One of these years you will actually miss all this!

Maybe he's not hungry when you try to feed him.  If he's hungry enough he'll eat anything.

My daughter did that when she was one. She drank a lot of milk. She didn't want to sit down to eat. As long as the baby is a healthy size he's eating enough. :)

All good advice.  Also do you give him snacks or much to drink within an hour before meal time?  Maybe you could settle him down more for sitting at dinner time by doing activities with him that don't involve running around. I wouldn't worry about it too much though because chances are that he will soon try to emulate mom and the others around him anyway.

Good Advice from everyone. Sometimes with mine I had to slow myself down & help them eat a little more, or make a game out of it (the airplane or the choo-choo, or a race car LOL). I agree with making sure they don't eat as many snacks during the day or at least within a couple hours before dinner. My two year old does the same thing sometimes, and I've been trying to get her to eat more. Also, are y'all eating at the table with him? Sometimes they don't want to eat unless you're right there eating too. My two-year-old won't eat if her big sister is done already. She thinks when her sister is done that means she is also. We're looking to get a bigger dinning room table cuz right now we can't all fit at ours, but that's something that does help also.

You should stick to whatever schedule you have, but the baby will not eat if he's not hungry.  If he runs around all way, he's using up his energy and is bound to eat.  Sorry if I couldn't be more helpful.  I have a 2 year old now.  But I never had a problem with eating or vegetables.  When she's hungry she eats almost anything.

we used to do the same thing with my now 7 year old. She never gave us trouble eating, but my 2 year old does. Sometimes its because I cave & let her snack too much before meal time. Same with my one year old. And the trick to vegetables that I've learned with mine - is if you can get them to at least try one bite - they usually like them. Make a game of it. Plus eating more vegetables yourself helps too. Kids want to emulate their parents so if they see us eating and enjoying more veggies they usually will too. :) hope it helps

Oh yeah I totally forgot about the air plane. I did that sometimes with mine when they were young. :)
