Do you ever wake yourself up yelling or laughing?

I know I have had dreams where I am trying to scream - scary ones.  Once in a while I can let out a loud scream, but most of the times it was like I was trying hard to scream and it didn't make a lot of noise.

But, the other night, I woke myself up laughing out loud!  I was laughing at one of my adult daughters.  I was shocked to wake myself up that way.

Yes I have done it before.   I can't remember the last time I did.

I don't recall ever doing that. I did however wake myself one time because I reached out to hit something and struck the wall. It scared me awake because I was in a deep sleep and dreaming. It was weird, but I laughed about it the next morning. And I've woke up before having been startled awake because I felt like I was falling. haha I don't like when that happens.

yeah, i have done that before. i have also had dreams where i am eating delicious food.

I've never woken myself up but I've been told I do laugh in my sleep. I can't remember what it was I was laughing at though.

i have laughed myself out of a dream once, it was due to giggling in the dream

i believe that's happened to me once, but i couldn't
figure out if i woke up and had dreamt i was giggling,
or if actually was giggling and that's what woke me up...

sleep paralysis is scary! its like you're awake inside your
sleeping body and can't move. i've wondered if that's
what being in a coma feels like

I fell asleep in the waiting room while my fiancee was in the doctor the other day and woke up with a yelp.

I have had dreams where I would wake up laughing!  I have also woke up crying before and then have no clue WHY?   For some reason I don't remember the dream!

I have to admit that no, I have never woken myself up either laughing or crying... I think I would like laughing?

      When I got out of the service, I used to wake-up myself yelling something?  Then, I would laugh about it before I went back to sleep..

The laughing wakes me up a lot. And it's usually over something that when awake, isn't even funny at all LOL! Like once I was dreaming I asked someone what they had for dinner. They answered, "Chicken", and I started laughing at them so hard it woke me up. I remember waking up and thinking, "That wasn't the least bit funny"

I have woke up crying before never laughing, it's been along time since I've done this .
