Can you go a day without food?

I can go 1-2 days with very little or no nourishment. I have even gone a week with little or without food before. When I am less active, I am hardly hungry at all. Even when I am in active mode, the body is smart and knows how to conserve and burn calories for energy. I can go a day without food, but not water. Eating once a day is good enough for me and anything more than that becomes a burden for me. Breatharians are the most amazing people I know.  They do not need to eat nor drink. They just feed on oxygen, the natural Sun, cosmic energy and the like.

yes, you can go a day without food. In fact you can live without food for a couple of weeks before feeling the major side effects.

Yes, I can. For me it is difficult. I have done it only when fasting.

Ive gone for 2 days before without food.. not by choice but because we were low on money. I've also tried fasting, and have not been able to do it. I would love to master a 5 day water fast.

I Can but I choose not to because it makes me really sick if I do not eat regularly.

Sometimes I can go without food for most of the day. But other times my body tells me to eat RIGHT NOW or I have a feeling of high anxiety.

I have fasted for a day for special occasions.  It is not a practice I do regularly. 

I have never heard of "Breatharians" that candyterrius mentioned in her post.  I though all life needed water and food!

Yes I can go a day without food.  I have fasted before and eventually you don't even have hunger cravings.  In fact sometimes I actually get tired of eating.

NO way ! I did go without food for a half day(12hrs) and I started to have headaches.  Even without food for 12hrs, I eat more food the rest of the day.   I can not do that again.

I can easily go a day with out food.  A week is more of a challenge but able to be done if I have water. I have heard that the human body can go up to thirty days without food but needs to have water within three days to survive.  Skipping meals is fairly easy if I am kept totally busy and work generally accomplishes the consumption of my time...if my family doesnt!

You can go without food for days, but not water.  Who are these breathtarians that go without water?  That just doesn't sound right.  Our bodies need water more than food.  If for nothing else, but to flush the toxins from our bodies.  Can you imagine going a week without food or water, Food would be okay, but the toxins in your body would build up and could be dangerous with no water.

Yes i can go with out food for at least 7 days but not water or at least some sweet tea, yes im a texan!
