I'm just curious on what people think about that(the poll will be below this comment btw) i'm playing a game called Megaman X command mission right now and it had the praises "you sunnuva" "hell gravity" and "flames of Gehenna" of those three "you sunnuva" was said in a cutscene and one of the villains who is a female kinda dressed provocatively(for an E rated game) and gets off whipping people. So with that in mind leave your two cents and vote. I'm also giving people the permission to flame my custom made poll as well as long as you don't curse Admin please don't do anything if they flame the poll below please thanks.

1. Yes
2. No
3. It's the new millennium who cares what our youth listens to or plays or watches.

2. No. I would consider that inappropriate for a E-rated game.

I think that there are too many movies, tv shows, games etc that are way too suggestive and that there is no reason to use that type of language in a game that is geared for children under 13.

In my opinion E-rated games should be more like the old school ones. Pac-man, Pinbot, Super Mario, Toobin, Donkey Kong. There's some violence, Pac-man eats the ghosts and Super Mario kills all those little goomba things, but no more than say Tom and Jerry or the Coyote and Roadrunner cartoons.

No, it shouldn't be in E games.  I have small children that play those games, I wouldn't want them picking up on any of those phrases.  Are you sure it's E and not E10+?

If it's E for everybody it shouldn't use suggestive language however if your child (exampled age 3-6) knows what follows the term "you sunnuva" then obviously they are learning the language elsewhere and you as a parent need to get to the root of that. You can't blame the game - it's not carrying out the sentence!

A kid doesn't have to know what flames of Gehenna means to be suggestive to hellfire.  According to my gamefly pouch the game is rated E and not E10.

No they shouldnt have bad words in them. They have ratings for a reason... amirite??
They should know better than to put bad words in them.

Also, have you watched the Ninja Turtles cartoon? They say, "Let's get the shell out of here" all the time, or other things like that.

I don't think those phrases: "you sunnuva", "hell gravity", and "flames of Gehenna" are anything to worry about. A whip is just a weapon a character uses. No different from a knife, axe, kusari-gama, arrows, or a sword.

It shouldn't matter too much if cursing appears in a video game, E-rated or not. What really matters is the kid's maturity and how well they react to hearing those words. If cursing or those phrases above are a problem for any parents, they could either make sure their kids know not to repeat them, or not let their kids play those games.

Then why have ratings if it doesnt matter?? Thats what they're there for. Yeah, it all depends on the childs maturity but parents buy these games for their child because its rated a certain way. And they buy them based on the rating because all children are different when it comes to everything, including maturity.
