Box Tops For Education
« on: February 10, 2011, 11:04:08 am »
Thanks for taking the time to read this...!

I have recently started a Fundraising business and I am adding a little more with it by collecting and donating Box Tops to schools who need it most.
...I got this idea when I noticed a lot of my always bought stuff had Box Tops on them, so I began collecting and donating....

I donate to schools 4 times a year...

My question is... what would it take to get people like you all reading this, to collected and mail your Box Tops to me for me to pass along? Any ideas would be awesome. If you are interested already, thank you and please let me know!

Thank you for donating. It does feel good. My plan is to donate them to schools who are in more need of it and to help schools grow.

the school i donate to does not solicit fundraising funds too actively but could use it.  it is a private christian school that often lets children in need attend for free.  the school is supported by a very small chuch population

Is there any way to claim those credits to buy school supplies for home bound kids? Does any one know?

at the beginning, I think the box top like a coupon, after I find that I can't use it as coupon, so I throw away the bottle which has box top marks, then I saw ad on TV, so I registered web, but after, I find that they ask me if I am the teacher of the school, I have to choose one school. then... I have no idea and I do not know what it use for?
I think I will have some bottle which has box top, and May cereal, I didn't notice it.
I will gather them and then check if the school near my home need them. if yes, I will collect for them.

I need to make myself more clear about the Box Tops.

I am collecting to donate 4 times a year to schools in need. Almost every school collects them but the amount varies. A school may collect $2000 on year but doesn't need it much then half way across town, a school collects $200 and can't afford to buy new up-to-date books or has to cancel a club or something non beneficial.

This is what I am wanting to help change and I can not do it alone. Most schools who collect wide amount of Box Tops have the same people who donate to them all the time. Donating them to me, allows me to donate them to a school or gets fewer and truly needs it.

A school down the street from me has almost $1700 and they have everything they need and have a small school of less than 500. About 3 miles away is a school that has over 800 students and collected less than $500 and some students have to share textbooks. This is what had me some up with the idea.

i'd be willing to send my "box tops" to you.

Thank you so much. I E-mailed you and truly appreciate your help.

If you feel like your local school doesn't need it as much as some, send them to me. I appreciate it. It feels good to help people out, especially when there's not much to it.

Thank you everyone!

That is GREAT!!! I want you all to know I am only trying to help schools. I do not want you to stop collecting for your local schools. That is not my goal. There are numerous people who don't find a need to collect and donate because they don't have kids or any other reason. I am inviting those people to collect and donate to help schools in need. If you are donating to your local school, chances are they are getting what they need and aren't a school in need. If I asked you to stop donating to them and donate to me, it wouldn't make this a good cause. My kid is under 1 year old and I have Box Tops on almost everything I buy so I thought to collect and donate them. Then I noticed my local schools don't need them but there are schools that do. Then I asked a few people why they don't collect and donate and I got numerous of reasons. With this service, they are willing to donate knowing they are helping a school who needs it most. Thank you for donating. :) Have an awesome day!
